lol you beat me alright ! 993 needed a strong wind in its favor to reach that number and the GT3's top speed is below 300 now with the R&P.. 5th gear maxes out at 246.9klm/h in 8250rpm..

Any other out there to beat Michael?

My 993 speedo pic was from when I was returning from a dragstrip years ago. I let 'er eat for about a mile or more (umm, closed course) and was surprised with the optimistic reading. The GT3 pic however was coming down from an even better marker & taken with my cell phone.

Is the stock US 6-3 top speed limited by gear or motor?

It's limited by drag, it's geared very high. Get the 4.0 R&P

If you have road ahead it will do much more than the published top speed. But I guess saying to customers that the GT3 has a higher top speed than the more expensive then top of line 996 turbo would sound "strange".

These guys made 346 klm/h (at oem rev limiter of 5-6 gears / 8000rpm. )

I really dont know what the exact top speed on my GT3 is, but it registered 200 and I bailed. I really thought that it was rather easy to get to that indicated speed though. After the fact I thought that I could have packed my GPS with the "maximum MPH since reset" feature but it was just not that important to me. The car is plenty fast - and that's enough for me.
