Default Porsche GT3 6 point Harness

Is there any difference between the Porsche 6 point harness for the 997 GT3 vs the 996 GT3? Porsche 20% holiday sale is going on and I tried to order the GT3 harness but they could not order the 996 GT3 version, only the 997 Version was in stock.

The parts manager could not answer the question.

Thanks in advance.

Different part number
for driver:
6 is 996 803 037 90
7 is 997 803 037 90

I think that the 7 version has bolt type sub belts that bolt to the floor on RoW cars that have ready holes from the factory vs. the 6 version that it loops around the sub strap bar of the Recaro seat.
Now if one type can be made to work on the other I don't know.

Right again. I bought the 7 version and replaced the bolt in brackets of the sub belts with 3 bar slides. Voila, 6 version.

The 2" 3 bar slides are $2.50 each from HMS Motorsports.

Here is a poor photo of the sub belts.
The belt on the left has been converted to a 6GT3 version.
The belt on the right still has the original 7GT3 bolt in bracket.
