Default Aftermarket Toe Eccentric?

Does an aftermarket rear Toe Eccentric exist?

After many forum and web searches, I think not.
{{EDITTED}}
The reason I ask, my last alignment technician couldn't get the specified toe. He speculated that it was a result of the previous owner installing aftermarket eccentrics for track use.

I have seen the adjustable toe arms (wish I knew about and had bought a pair, instead of an OEM control arm) and read much good alignment information here.

Thanks to all.

You must not be using the search correctly as the rear toe arm (track rod or tie rod has been covered in detail; original street components, Porsche Motorsport, ERP, TRG, and Tarett Engineering.

I know, I hate newbies, too.

They don't search before that ask their questions
They ask stupid questions
They don't
They don't even know how to search the forums, even if they tried.
They obsess about insignificant non-issues on their cars
They don't deserve a straight answer to what they stupidly think is a simple question.

indeed. just get the two things alan pointed out and you are set.
you can't use aftermkt locking plates (eccenrics) without those adj arms, otherwise you have no toe adjustment.

black04,

I think you'll find this site to be very friendly and helpful. Although a few will have the only correct answer for any question, most will offer advise and the benefit of our own journeys to where we are now. There are no bad questions...well, I guess there are are, but most of us will do what we can to help anyway.

u really need a better tech.
i hear this all the time, my tech can't do that, can't do this.... well then what good are they?

i have had many cars, some bone stock, some highly modded. i have never been told that i cannot get the toe, camber or caster i wanted. a tech should KNOW, invent, fabricate, fiddle ..... i dont want tech tell me what can or cannot be done. just do it. i have a magician working on my car.

note: the post is not directed at you. but i just think your tech is not very competent. and literally ALL the good porsche tech's know tarrett. some do not like the locking plate, some do. but doesn't sound like he knows how to get the toe needed?

+1

Your tech isn't someone who will be able to properly guide you and your car through this beautiful journey. Get a guy with a clue and then your car will be set up properly and you'll be smiling every time you get behind the wheel.

Black04 you'll find in your searches that the alignment of the rear suspension on the GT3 is super critical. The stock toe link has rubber bushings that flex and that minimal toe change can spin the car in an instant. Variances in toe side to side as little as 1mm affect the stability under braking and the way it corners. Once you have the solid toe links in place you will realize that you could actually feel the toe change when cornering with the flexible stock links...it makes that much difference....even at low speed.
All of this means that you have to find a shop that really knows what they are doing with this specific car. MOST alignment shops are not accurate enough to set the car up correctly. The usual method of moving the toe until the display on the screen goes from red to green is not accurate enough.
And welcome to Rennlist BTW

I agree with all the above. The 6GT3 is unbelievably sensitive to rear toe, and the first thing I did was to get a better toe link. The next thing was to get a shop that could help me, and that may be hard if you live in an area that doesn't have many GT3s. PM somebody on this forum who lives near you for a recommendation, if you are interested.
Then...prepare to go deeper and deeper into the addiction.

i actually had a shop set up the toe incorrectly. took it back to them after a "brown" moment under hard braking at the track. happy to say they made it right.

Totally uncalled for. I help lots of people and I did not refer to you as a "newbie".
