^So you fixed your pm's? What was wrong?

About the cages, guys I understand that they are more expensive but if you do it for the safety of it, I would suggest that you use the Porsche oem ones clubsport and RS models, that are FIA approved or invest in a welded cage made by someone who knows what he is doing.

The other cages are more show than go. And to my surprize the oem T equipment doesn’t even touch the struts. Very bad idea, purely for cosmetic reasons there.
The other one above seems better.

I put my tech equipment bar into my car twice and it is a good do it yourself project if you are handy.
NONE of the carpet or trim was removed when I installed my rollbar. I had the a GT3 with an installed techequipment roll bar parked right next to my car as I put in mine. I was able to measure exactly where the bar would fit. I slit the carpet in order to cut away the hard plastic at the lower mounting point. The slit in the carpet is vertical and hidden between the roll hoop verticals and the B piller.
The seats do have to come out and that is about it. You should adjust the mirror away before you try the bar. It does not need to be removed. The seatbelt slider mechanism only has to have the plastic cover removed for added clearance. Any 3 of the 4 bolts that hold the bar in are easy. Getting the 4th bolt to line up properly when you cannot see the hole behind the carpet is a problem. It will take a friend to help flex the bar as you screw in the 4th bolt. That is the true pain in the *** of doing it. getting the 4th bolt in.

I put my tequipment bar in by myself. It was really no big deal. I did not remove any interior parts. I did cut the plastic in the rockers.

I installed the Tecquipment bar with my wife helping. Didn't remove the mirror but did trim the plastic. I also posted the note on YouTube about not having to remove all the rear interior bits.

If you try it, watch the video, go slow, and it is very easy.
