If you're going with the Tequipment bar, the important thing in the installation is to cut away the plastic material at the sill. Some try to skip this step but the bar gets cocked into place making for an even more difficult install. Don't try to save time by skipping the sill trimming.
RSS makes some great bars and they just recently came out with a new one that reaches out to the rear shock towers. Installation would appear to be simpler as there are separate receptacles for the rear bar legs. I have a RSS tequipment style bar and it's well crafted but more importantly fits nicely.

So has anyone even heard of a Safety Device bolt in cage?
I was going to start a new thread on a related topic but it might fit in here nicely. I want to know what people think about regarding a DAS 4 pt bolt-in roll bar vs a Safety Devices 6pt bolt-in roll bar. Is this really an ungrade, going from 4 pts to 6pts when we are talking about a generic bolt in cage with many bends by the A-pillar? I know there is a GT3 RS cage but that is about $4000.
The basic question is should I upgrade from the DAS rollbar if I'm not going with a custom WELDED cage?

I'm getting confused about what needs to be modified on the car for the tequipment bar. It seems like there is a debate about whether the plastic molding needs to be trimmed.
Also does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in Atlanta to install the bar? I'm certainly not feeling like this is a project I want to tackle.

Not trimming the sills will definately NOT allow the Tequipment bar to fit. I did not know this either and tried all i could. Was completely frustrated until i found that great DIY video on YouTube. If had know this before .......
I think this e-mail contains lots additional info i did not have before. It took me an afternoon to realize it did not fit. Broke the windshield and had to figure it out all by myself the next day. Read all the info carefully. take the video with you. Get the right tools to cut the sills (Dremel for example) and you should need not more then 5 hours. The reward is great

My son and I put in my DAS with little difficulty. I did not remove the mirror. Here are a few pics from the installation. GL
