Or buy the new FABulous one + 40horses and a donkey. : )

BTW if you are going to drill better come up with a way to seal the lid and box halls or else don't do it at all.

I reinstalled my stock air box. The reason for the post: I had slightly damaged mine when it fell off a shelf in the garage (I have since repaired it), but I found a replacement at a local dismantler for ~$35.

The stock air box did cure some low speed bogginess/lurching I had with the K&N setup I had installed.

^had a cone set up for my old 996- at a certain speed I think 45-55 mph it would hesitate and lurch. Didn't do crap other then intake noise- sounded like it was going to explode- lol. Mike

Hi guys,

I am also in Need of a stock airbox. I can get a 2004 GT3 airbox, but I have a 2000 GT3 (MK1).

Will the 2004 GT3 MK2 airbox fit?

Thanks for your help!!!

Yes it will fit the bolt's position and slots are same but not as it should when it comes to the lid opening.
The mk1 has a rubber seal on it vs. the mk2's smaller foam one. So it is better to use the correct airbox for proper sealing, you don't want hot air sucked in.

Bump

The deal with the parts recycler fell though, so, if you have a stock air box in perfect or near perfect shape, let me know. Otherwise, I'll buy new.

Thanks
