Default End of Season: Brake tools

The track season is finished for most of us -- now is a good time for off-season projects. TraqJunk has some useful tools for brake work on GT3 (996 & 997) and other high-performance Porsches.
  • Brake Tool. This tool compresses the spring which holds the pad retaining pin. Changing brake pads on the GT3 without the Tool is very unpleasant. With the tool it's a few second operation. $49.95
  • Pad Spreader. This tool gently pushes the pads apart so they can be easily removed. $39.95

We also have the TraqJunk Seat Belt buckle. This goes into the stock seat belt receptacle and silences the buzzer/alarm for when you're using your track belts. $24.95

Check them all out at http://traqjunk.com

I just ordered mine today. I heard from others that they are a must-have if you do your own pad changes.

Be sure to say you're a RL'er when you check out to get the free shipping!

Hey Dell, did you solve the F brake noise after all?

Heck no but I am 99% sure it's the pads. My hypothesis is that when the roads are rough it knocks the pads back and as soon as I go to brake I hear them "clunk" of them realigning.

These specific pads you have now on, you mean?
Are they somehow different than other pads? Weird

IIRC it happens with both the stock pads AND the PFC track pads. It did NOT happen with the 4 pots though. It started when I moved to the 6pots
