It was the school as Spring Mountain Motorsports. Nice facility, they have a Corvette school, and a Radical school. I think they also do some sportbike stuff. I don't know if that's the one Jack is affiliated with or not, I haven't met him.

Steve,

Since you don't track your car, why were you aggressive in the rear rim size? (12" vs. 11" stock) Just curious.. since 12" would probably rub unless you have very aggressive alignment or re-shape the rear fender, no?

CCW says that is the usual combination they make for these cars. A friend of mine nearby had the same setup on his, with no issues. Mine don't rub, even with street alignment. Maybe they would if driven hard, but in that case, you'd have more aggressive alignment anyway (negative camber) which would prevent rubbing.

Listen to your wife and keep it. You will be bummed when its gone. I'm sure my dad would keep it garaged for you... he's right there in Bernardo Heights.

Yeah, I know... I've been answering a lot of questions, giving details, e-mailing back & forth, etc.... it's a bummer to think about it being gone. Such is life.

Jack doesn't do schools at the track, he's a member. The track has a corvette and a Lotus school.

Jack does the Lotus Challenge series

^ The 2-Eleven LC crowd. When I was looking into them, I spoke with Jack. Very nice guy and very generous with his time and knowledge. If it weren't for the ever changing god awful weather here, I'd have one. I also would have loved to buy his 255 Cup as that was well-sorted (but already gone to another C series member)..

OP: Nice Lotus and Nice 6GT3, GLWS!!

Yes, he told me so. He also made quite a persuasive argument for Loti. So much so that a friend and I had a race to get a 255Cup (I ruled out the 2-Eleven due to heat/humidity/rain here - not so interested in sitting in grid and alternatively baking or drowning or freezing, etc) - He located a nice example from a member at VIR at a great price. I, unfortunately, was not so lucky and ended up with a street car. Patience is not my strong suit .. . Of all the recent production Porsche, the 6 GT3 might be the closest 'cousin' to Lotus - lighter weight (relatively, of course) to power, no electronic aids, responsive suspension and braking, directness of steering/feel, etc. Thats why i lurk around here, i think.. Someone should buy this car before I get another stupid idea ..

Well said--- exactly why I have both a 6GT3 and a Lotus Exige!
Does one really need both?
choices, choices.........

Well I just bought a 6 GT3, so maybe I am more attune to opinions???

But the one thing (well 2 really) that I keep hearing or reading is: "I am never going to sell this car" or, "I wish I never sold this car, biggest mistake I ever made"
Just saying
