Default How to put my GT3 in Hibernation ?

It's a real shame but I'm putting my car in hibernation for the next couple of month. Unfortunately the GT3 season is officially over in Michigan and my car will be staying in the garage til next April. Drove the car for the last time today - filled up the tank and gave it a good wash. I'm not worried about flat spots on the tires since I will be changing to PSC or Nittos next season. The GT3 will be in storage in my garage which is not heated. Is there any problem with that or would it be better to have the car in a heated storage ? Any ideas are welcome.

Don't let good tires freeze.

About all I do is change engine and gear oil, fill tank, throw in some fuel stabilizer and run the car for about 20 min then put it away.

Tires are dead anyway so they can freeze. Is the fuel stabilizer important ?
Mike - I live in Michigan. Our season is only April til end of October.
You guys in California are lucky !

I usually add some stabilizer to my any car I've had that went into hibernation here in New England.

I'm curious to hear if more GT3 guys go disconnect or trickle the charger. Last season with the Lotus I removed the battery and had it trickling in the basement since there aren't any plugs out by my garage.

Trickle charge now (killed batteries before without it). I'll be putting my car away in a few weeks until March.

I have the same plan for upcoming winter. As soon as the first snow hits the street here, they are sprayed with salt non stop.
Unfortunately i have no power in my garage. I tried once before to disconnect the battery, but my alarm went off.
How to proceed if you still want to disconnect the battery ? I've heard the Porsche Centre can program to 'switch off' the alarm horn upon request.

+2 for the trickle charger. I've been using trickle chargers on my Cayman S (4 years) and GT3 (3 years) for winter storage and never had a battery problem. Other than that, just a full tank of gas, a wash, and a little more air in the tires.

I guess trickle charger is something like a battery tender ? What do you guys think about storing the car in a garage which gets cold ?
