Is there a discernable increase in rear brake bias with the 06/01 f/r combo?
TIA

David,
I stand by my math at $500 a day. I laid out the costs and they are realistic.
I ran 12 days on my current set of Nitto's. They are not corded. Due to cold temps I honestly could not tell you if they were sticky anymore, it was time to hang it up. They gave me 12 fun days in the instructor run groups at four different clubs.
The Hoosier and slick crowd on here has long forgotten what a $500 day is like. Hoosiers cost $300 a day themselves, maybe a tad less.
I did not count depreciation, rooms and meals or track cost, if you are not an instructor. Mods are extra too, obviously as is insurance.
It's not cheap but it sure is fun.

I have been running 01s f&r. When I bought the car that is what was installed. I have been learning with this set up and it seems fairly balanced. I don't think I need more rear brake bias yet.
Is there a discernable increase in rear brake bias with the 06/01 f/r combo?
TIA

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks. I am also very comfortable with fluid changes and brake work, so I can "save" somewhat.
I notice that many owners of Porsche's use Pagid brake pads. Have people tried other brands like Hawk, Cobalt, Porterfield, Performance Friction, etc.?

I run Cobalt XR2's on the 6GT2/GT3 and have been very pleased. Good life, easy on rotors and less $$$ than Pagid and PFC.

I would also add annual alignments. More frequent without the upgraded rear toe links.
Regarding Tires, One set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups will last a season with a good alignment and a working differential.

I've had 5 alignments in the last 3 years. However, that number is probably a bit high. Looking back at some of those receipts I think I added in some other labor costs in that total because I didn't have an itemized breakdown for some other work done at the same time.
