I remember my 1st time on MPSC in the rain... I would have rather been on the PS2's.

50 deg should be fine for MSPCs, it may take another lap to get them to temp so use caution. They are ok in the rain so long as there is no standing water.

+1 > another lap and good in damp without standing water.

They are brilliant in rain, standing water, cold temps and snow.

So brilliant..
Imagine on a rainy day if you sneak in your garage early in the morning and stay quiet, you can hear them whispering to each other plotting ways to kill you.

Put the PS2s or get a set of 888s. They are the only R compound actually drivable from and to the track regardless of weather conditions.

My compromise setting after all my tests. I start at 29 all around on MPSC. 36 F 38R PSI hot. No matter what the outside ambient temperature is.

PS2s get my vote. I have both, and wouldn't think twice.

Second day drivers up to speed. Some very respectable vehicles and I went up to many to complement their mastery of this track and their speed. There is always someone faster. The older I get the faster I was.

Not great in the rain but I did end up driving on them at VIR in December a few years back. Temps below freezing in the morning and I thought it would be like driving on ice but actually they did remarkably well considering.

I drove on kuhmo v710's in the rain at sp. U definitely learn car control skills but what for? I just did 2 sessions that day and said fk it. Having seen Mooty spun at carousel in his bsr on street tires was enuf for me. I escaped
Unscathed but if **** happens- what u gonna do? Not worth it. I'm pretty good in rain just tell me how I can be better in dry : (. Mike

There was a sudden downpour last weekend at the track. I had just gotten into the pits. I looked at the standing water and at my slicks and went F' That and went home. Not worth the risk of wadding up the car
