rob, did you buy the silver 996gt3 that gamroth did? that's a good car too.

if greg fordahl built this car, then for sure it's done well. someone buy it and get it on track for some fun.

Mooty,

Yes, I did buy that silver car. And I agree that Greg Fordahl really knows his stuff. I'm sure he'd be available to discuss his knowledge of that Basalt Black car with a potential buyer.

This car is a one owner car; the owner (correctly identified by PJS) is here in the Seattle area. It was "built" by Greg Fordahl, who is a very well regarded race technician and driver. It's Basalt Black in color. Though the odometer mileage is not particularly low, I think it has been very well put together and well cared for. I've seen the car on a number of occasions and I know the owner and builder -- both very good people. It's a car I considered purchasing as well some months ago. I decided to go a different direction -- even one notch more hard core. If you want to reach the original owner, who "traded" on a .2RS, PM me and I'll connect you.

Rob
Rob S,

Thanks for the information. When you get the time can you PM me the owners number. I tried to change the title of this thread from blue to Basalt Black but couldn't figure it out. I'm looking at another car locally that is basically stock. Rather purchase a car already done.

Firefisher, you might not be able to get PMs if you are not a paying member?

PM sent to Rob S.

Same request as firefisher in case he decides to pass. Might just take a bit longer though as I must first sort out my current ride.

I would be happy to provide info on the Basalt Black car. I know the owner well and he is a RLer although a quiet one. The car is unreal and was kind of a pet project of Gregg's. You will not get a better 996Gt3.the owner has been racing 944 cup for thenlast 2-3 seasons.Pm me if interested

What's this car like on the street? Driveable or pure track only?

Thanks

I was fine with my GT3 ride quality, absolutely no issues, but it was pure stock. I actually found the ride compliant. This car has motons and all the rest. Further thoughts?
