I met a guy at Santana Row with a black Lamborgini that AutoConcierge has done all the detailing work on. That was the most amazing looking black paint I'd ever stared into. It was just perfection. If this car's paint is in similar condition, it must be a real beauty.

Correct! Pics on this thread were taken a few days ago AFTER the car was converted back to stock--motons/gt3seats/rs wing/harnesses removed.

As mentioned the car was supposed to be my track toy...however I got distracted by my RS!

Bad timing i guess...it would be only fitting if you'd bought my black since i bought your white 6gt!

Yes...too clean for the track! Watching mooty and 996FLT6 strip their 6gt's, was very tempted to do same...but since i still drive like a grandma, what's the point...plus my black 6gt is much to nice to strip!

Andy: shipping from me to you is $1500! Yes, you're right about Bob...says ALOT coming from a fellow pro-detailer like yourself.

Well looks like you're in WCreek now, so still worth the drive! I live in San Fran and still make the trek down.

Although I haven't tracked this extensively, problem is, it seems no one is willing to pay even a slight premium for a well sorted track car with seats, roll bar, etc. If you can get the same price for a stock car, why not convert back to stock and sell the track goodies separately getting a better return. I completely understand. The market psychology is a little weird.

Of course, this is the way to go. But I am asking as a maybe, perhaps, hopefull, potential buyer.

he can buy those from james
and reinstall them.

i have done it many times.
if i leave seats in the car, the value of the seat is ZERO
if i take seats out, they will sell $2200 easy.
and the buyer will HAPPILY pay to install those blah blah...
it's very strange.

if i sell my car for 100k, buyer will think it's a rip off.
if i sell it to dealer for 90, the SAME buyers goes in buy the car from dealer for 110, he's very happy... this happend 3x to me

i also told the buyer that i can get him financing just like dealer can.....

hum.... i need a dealership sign on my front door.

oh another example. i have a roll bar that came in n out of the same car that i sold and then my friend sold and my friend sold 4x. my mechanic told me that he wont take the thing out again b/c 3 hours later, it's going right back in.

OH that is SO spot on.

How about the buyer who says "if you ever want to sell I want you to call me. I will buy it." And when you call 'em there is always an excuse why he just cant quite do it now... That's the same buyer who says "I would pay you $xxxxxx if you would ever want to sell that car." But they don't - even when they get the chance. Then when you do sell it they say "I would have given you more than that." (now that its gone and there is no chance of having to do the deal).

Groan... Car people...

lol... which is why I haven't bothered officially putting mine up for sale-- too busy to deal with all of that.
9800 miles, no story. want it or not..
Good luck with the sale, hope someone who knows what these cars are about buys it!!

GTx cars are mystical for my lack of vocabulary.
to those who dont understand them, you have to explain until you are blue in the face, then catch your breath, and explain some more.
to those who "get it", they look at the car and the deal is done.
