Cool Bought A Trailer

A few specs:
  • Width Between Wheel Wells; 75"
  • Deck Length; 153"
  • Overall Width; 99.75"
  • Overall Length; 234"
  • Fender Height Above Deck; 6.25"
  • Trailer Weight; 895#
  • Carrying Capacity; 4100#
Included in the deal:
  • 2007 Trailex CT-7541EB
  • ~5k on it
  • excellent condition; documented
  • trailer
  • hitch
  • wind/stone guard
  • tie down straps
  • Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller
  • trailer locks
  • trailer dolly
  • winch
  • tool box
  • tire rack
  • spare tire
  • Purchased new, it was specifically set up for a 996 GT3; the trailer axles were located farther rearward to make the balance (and hence tongue weight) just right with a rear engine car on it.

I know the former owner and seller and have full confidence in the statements presented. Its also relatively close at just a couple hours away.

There are a couple options being discussed, but tow vehicle is TBD; after the baby arrives, and likely after the new year. I haven’t towed in several years, so there will be a little bit of a learning curve. Dell is just down the street so he will prove helpful I am sure.

From Trailex’s site
Now as the "911" trailer. It is very lightweight (all bolted together) and has a usable deck width of 75", overall width of 99 3/4" and overall length of 19' 5". The 7541 may fit in your garage. Trailer is standard with open center that can be used as a (free lift), full aluminum floor optional. As always make sure your car will fit on this trailer!

Thanks Nope; I sidelined that project; too much work when I already have a setup I like.

DELL lives down the street?
man, u should MOVE SOON.
CLEARLY dell is a very POWERFUL figure.
i have rarely seen ppl who jump off the cliff at such alarming rate ;-)
however, i have to say all the stuff you did to the car are very well chosen and the trailex is the BEST open trailer money can buy.

do u already have three sets of wheels? or should you jump into the abyss of moot's garage and take my set away.

congrats on the trailex. once you start trailering you will never go back.

next will be hoosier daddy's.

did you mention you have a baby coming in 2011. double congrats.
now do track day every weekend, and sleep A LOT.
as far as tow car goes, anything would work with trailex. that said a big 2500 crew cab would do well and carry a lot of baby stuff in the bed. you would NOT believe how much stuff one baby need.

LOL, no way; Dell is quite the excellent resource and a good friend to boot.

The trailer opportunity just was the right deal at the right time; I’m excited; the wife was very understanding. I only have 2 sets of wheels now; its all I need at this point; NT01s and the street tires. I really like the Nittos and need much much more seat time before I move to the crack pipe.

The baby is due actually this Sunday, and the next DE is just before TGiving; she’s coming with us to the track.

just pulling your chains,
dell is good bud of mine too.
though if he lived close to me, we will both be in a lot of trouble.

ur wife is VERY understanding.
would she pls call my wife and teach her how to be more understanding?

when you wait during her labor in hospital. DO NOT bring lap top or smart phone with you.
i did.
and having no action in the delivery room for 10+ hours. i bought my 08RS online right before max arrived.
you do a lot of strange things in the delivery room!

And by "resource" what Scott really means is "bad influence"

Awesome pick-up Scott! The more trailers we get in the group, the more real estate we dominate in the paddock. Soon we will rule the world

I have a similar trailer... I use these, 5 per side to safely get the car on the ramps: http://www.rvparksupplies.com/p/AW21774332/

I just set them up at the end of the ramp... car goes up and down and clears the spoiler with no fuss. They are light and strong enough to support RVs.

That is just very nice! Wife said if I get a trailer for the car the sh** was going to hit the fan. For that one, I might see what she meant by that! Looking at 400+ to WG, 250 to Monticello and on and on - probably prefer those miles on my Toyota truck! And yes, yellow is great!
