450? It's more, WAY MORE, than that. The E92 M3 coupe is over 3700 pounds. My GT3 was 3020 (published weight was 3042).

700 pounds is insane!

I know mine was 31xx on the scale w/ rollbar and stock seats (this was measured before I put in bucket seats in the car).. so I think mine is probably now down to 30xx range as well.. maybe.. !

I guess that is quite a bit lighter than the new M3.. !! :O

Depends what you want it for. I have one in my garage. Delimited but otherwise stock. Much preferable for a long distance weekend trip and is my default car for anything involving luggage. The thing is massively quick and I love the V10. I dont think of it as a Porsche substitute, but as an alternative....here are three of mine:

and a vid flat out on the autobahn. I was short shifting as it was new:

Check out this video and you will keep the GT3. I know it's a 997 in the video but this is more about the pudginess of the M3.

The e92'is a fat pig! You'll be really disappointed with it as a track car unless you strip it if 500 lbs. I know someone who did that very thing and its fast. The dsg however is awesome on track though. If you dint want to go that route, still get the M3 but as a daily. That's what I'm doing. My e46'was the best daily i ever had and I miss it compared to my Benz. However it was a horrible track car. Waaay to heavy.

^ He can do same in the GT3 with a cage and a nice double side bar. Then he ll check the panties on entrance and exit.

About the M and track their worst thing apart from the fact that they weigh 3 tons it’s that the brakes are straight from a 1987 Datsun.

You guys rely on awkwardness of vehicle entry/exit to get a glimpse at the panties? I'd be glad to give some pointers via PM...

Maybe a couple test drives are due to bring my mind back into good health.
Serge you are crazy, I drove a new M3 at the Nordschliefe a couple of weeks ago and got throughily spanked by every generation of GT3 there is ...

unless of course you need help putting your seatbelt on ... (go see a coupe you will know what I mean)

the M-DCT is nice (I cant compare to PDK) but the car is a pig, the electric nannies are a pain (I was not able to turn them all the way off, an M-Dynamic Mode isnt)

the brakes are also a laugh, even compared to a regular 911 ... never mind a GT car

I would equate it to dancing in Balerina shoes or miner boots, you can do both, but you will be a lot more eligant in the former and clumsy in the latter!

My friend's girl has a 335 - I know exactly what you mean! It's a bit silly, really.
