e92 M3 or maybe an M6...am I crazy?

dont do this unless you like dancing in miners boots ... or you have the desire to be ridiculed by your (ex)peer group
seriously from a 6 GT3 to anything is probably a step down in handling and responsiveness ... to anything with an M badge on it its surgery with a blunt instrument ...
seriously, I am not the worlds fastest driver, but I am a good average, I could not push the M3 safely far enough to keep up with the 3's at the ring ... its not an HP thing, its a mass, handling, responsiveness, confidence, braking thing

A BMW coupe to replace a Cayenne would work. Not to replace a GT3.
I also regret selling my 04 GT3. The RS and I never got along like the 04 GT3 and I did. This is why I am selling the RS. Off course the RS and I may never have gotten along because I got the chance to buy a fantastic Red CUP. I do not know whether I could live with Mooty's stripped down GT3 or not as a second track car. Mooty, I would be open to looking into it when you sell at the end of the year.

Speaking of GT luxobarges, I happen to drive one currently and it's more apples to apples since it is a P-car and not a M3 or M6. Let me first say that my Turbo is an amazing car and very capable on track. I love the car through and through but.........it is not a GT3. No way would I take a GT car over a car as perfect as a GT3.
To this day I regret selling the GT3. Please don't tell my Turbo that
If anything, you ADD one of those cars to your stable, you don't replace.

For the longest time I thought to myself, get a GTR and thrash it daily, F the weekend car garbage.. Same with a ton of other car's.. Then after a full out unadulterated thrill ride in my GT2 on a cool night, or at the track it brings me back to my senses.. IT IS WHAT IT IS, nothing can replace it for fun or thrill, practicality? Yes, but at that point it's not apples to apples. Sell IF you need a daily car that happens to be fun, if not? Moot point

I bought the Red Cup from Thusly June of 2009. Thusly graciously sold me the Red Cup so he could go race Sequential Cups. I had to sell the 04 GT3, 01 RUF, and a 1970 3.2 Conversion to pay for it. I should have sold the RS and kept the 04 GT3.

I do not want to hijack the thread so I will say to all, keep the 6 GT3.
The Red Cup is very special. I have a membership at Spring Mountain so it still lives at Kent's shop. The gang is always after me to go to the California Tracks. I will make the tour sometime soon. My wife and I just bought a second home on the Ocean in Westport, so we should be spending some more time out there.
