ONE type 2 ignition event

ONE type 2 ignition event
Has anyone seen that before? By my math, that means it exceeded the redline for 2.5 milliseconds or 120 crank degrees. I don't see how it's even possible but that's what my ECU reports.

Yup, a GT3 that I was interested in last year up in Michael B's neck of the woods had 25 type 2's. It didn't bother me at all (doing the math, like you) and it would have been in my garage instead of the Turbo I have right now if it weren't for the slow-as-molasses mortgage refi we were going through.

Durametric reads 1?
Also I dont know what it reads after 999,999 still trying to reach that in Type1.

Could have been some 'electronic noise' in the system causing it to indicate one ignition cumulative count. What is the hour amount that goes with that Range 2 ?
Correct on the 2.5 milliseconds at about 8200 rpm (410 ignitions/second at 8200 rpm).

This reminds me. I did another PPI on a 2008 7 GT3 last week. The result? Another 1 Range 2 noted. I even have the printout. I see no reason why it couldn't be. Just not a big deal.

Someone on the 997 board had a DME printout that showed something like 500 ignitions in range one and 1 ignition in ranges 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Which isn't technically possible.
So it looks like the single ignition events are some kind of anomaly that just show up on these reports for no apparent reason.
