If you use the external mic, the difference is night and day. If you want to get rid of yours let me know

Watch the videos I linked above for wind noise vs. no wind noise. Amazing difference.

Nice setup. I'm very happy with my POV as well.

I got a new Sony HD Camcorder this year to go with my HD traqmate, I'm hoping the sound quality is better.

I just moved my camera from my '74 to the GT3. If you tilt the mount, you might be able to lower the camera and extend it forward to get more coverage of the road ahead. Here are some pictures...

Last one is a jpg of my video test... I do not have a viewfinder in camera, so I musr remove and dowload video. I do have a couple of laser beams that help with alignment.

See if you can see some of my videos here: http://www.nicotra4.hpshare.net:1911/

Matt, I guess you were able to see the video. I think the camera has a lot to do with image quality. It records in HD at 1280x720. I just download the video and use quicktime to set the picture size and then export it. I just embed the video in the web page. QT allowed me to do the pic in pic shot of my wife at the Glen. The timing is almost perfect...

Contour has a higher def camera out now. Geared toward skiers and bikers. It is inexpensive.

Video is being server from my HP home server/backup unit. Had problems with internal web server and could not make it serve QT. Ended up using Abyss Web server and it resolved the problem. Glad you could see the video.
