I can testify to 2 cars over that period...

One a MkI 996 CS (00) which became a dedicated track car in 2011 when it had 40k kms on it.
Just sold to another racer with 95k kms on it (yes 10,000+ laps!) and beside normal wear (rotors, pads, half shafts, diff etc..) and besides a single synchro refresh, nothing! engine unopened, not leaking or lost compression dyno still strong and car won overall championship in 2013. No coolant pipe problems either (interestingly not mentioned above ie in 2010 as a problem) beside a cracked water bottle (went yellow then failed). Coils replaced once after developing hairline cracks.
Wow, 55,000 kms of pure track time on an unopened motor...very impressive and makes me feel much better about mine with 45,000 kms of mixed use - hopefully many many kms left in it!

So far so good for me too, although no where near as much ownership time as some. This package is robust to say the least and so easy (relatively speaking) to do much, well some, of the work yourself. This will not only be the last of the great "driver cars" Porsche will ever build, but will be the last "simple" car to work on that they will ever build again. What a machine!

Great car- only "failure" was a wheel sensor- ABS failure- tire lock up. Dam switch in driver door handle/ window . Car has 33,000 miles with "some" track time

Mine has got 55k miles on it. And I would guess half of those are on track. Engine is still very strong. Have a little "grind going into 2nd gear when car is cold. Need to shift very slow. But when the car is warmed up everything is perfect. My dream would be to send the car to shark weeks and put a 3.9 in it. But can't justify it as long as it runs like this.
