Which brake piston tool should I get?
There's the Eagle Day one: http://www.eagleday.com/padspreader.html
and the GiroDisc one: http://www.zeckhausen.com/Tools/cali...n_spreader.htm
Those are the only ones that I've seen with good reviews. Any others?
Both are ridiculously expensive for what they are, but I'm going to buy one anyway I have lots of experience changing pads, and am quite fast, but (1) I'm increasingly lazy (2) I promised to take care of my pretty GT3 brakes more than my last car (3) Every now and again my super-fast pad swapping technique fails and it slows me down by 1 minute
The GiroDisc one is compatible with other brake kits (StopTech 4-piston calipers are important to me). I presume the Eagle Day one works too, but if anyone can confirm, that would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I found one on ebay with reasonable size and price, http://cgi.ebay.ca/Sealey-Disc-Brake...item5ad330ed96
I have no personal experience with it, but it looks promising. Comment?

my friends and i have the Giro Disc one. You can use it for 6 piston, 4 piston, even one piston calipers by inserting the tool at an angle. Best $250 i ever spent. Super fast pad changes, less stress, everyone will want to barrow it.

Holy Crap those are expensive!!! I just bought one from Matco Tools that requires 1 hand and works like a hydraulic gun for about $60.. I'll try it out this weekend and let you know how it works.. But my shope uses it no problem.

i have eagle day.
it's the best 250 tool u can spend.
i can swap pads on cars that just come off track, no matter how hot your pads are. using channel lock takes too much time.
if u think these are expensive... hahaha.
i have a similar tool but much better made and is a porsche tool for the factory. i think it was $800. it's so pretty i use it as a paper wt. i prefer to use eagle day

Edit to add, and it's small enough to sit in a tool box...

Hmmm. Yes, it's expensive and useless, just like a GT3 I'm sure their profit margin is very high, okay. Seems we all agree on that.
Anyone know which one is lighter? I'm tempted to go with GiroDisc because it explicitly mentions StopTech compatibility, and I don't know any reason to go with the more expensive Eagle Day model.
