Yeah, I don't dispute that. This was just my experience after spending 4 months searching and harassing rennlist members! I guess it also depends what we all think "clean" means.

Anyway, if anyone knows the car or its history that would be great.

Mooty's price estimates look pretty accurate.

Here are some comps for you as of about 2 weeks ago.

Sold in last 4 weeks:

Pacific Palisades CA GT3 '04 $52k Seal Gray PCCB, CF trim, roll bar, 42K miles clean car.
Costa Mesa CA GT3 ' 04 $60K, Silver 12K miles, $25K in track add ons, major track time
Scottsdale AZ GT3 '04 $59K Silver 12k miles clean, clear bra, garaged, not tracked.
Louisville KY GT3 '04 $63K Silver, CF, CPO 2 yers left.
Gilroy CA GT3 '04, $60K+/-, Slate Gray Metallic, 4K miles, mint. xenon/leather

In addition I've seen these 2 GT3's -
Tarzana CA '04 $62K PCCB, Silver full leather, 24K miles. Not selling because of major sun exposure, doesn't hold pink slip.

Camarillo CA - Axl Rose car '05. Just lowered to $53K white 37k miles. In great condition, sounds wonderful, lots of personality..... and had work done to it from an encounter with a guardrail . Caged, 2 sets of seats, has original exhaust. Would be a great track car. Has 8 months of warrantee left on it.

Other GT3's of interest:
San Jose CA silver '04 31 k miles, $56K looks like it's been tracked from slices in carpet. go fast pedals, LoJack.

West Hollywood CA Black '05 $58k, 10k miles. on this forum. Non Op - not registered, needs tires, 2nd clutch, needs 3rd RMS - swapped with turbo RMS and leaking, not sure if wants to sell but has it listed.

East Coast - Sudbury Mass silver $59K '04 25k miles

Salt Lake City Dark Gray 12K miles for $66K dark gray

MD '04 36 k miles with rollbar red belts on 6speed, 36K miles

Grand Rapids MI '04 $66K with 4500 miles on it. B and B exhaust, flashed, short shft kit, radar hardwire. The flash and being in Michigan scare me.

And finally this one

Burlingame CA 758 original miles, white, '04. Note the missing toe hook cap. It may have been in a wreck. no price listed. Auto trader id AT-10A51591

Also quite a few reds and yellows out there at decent prices if that's your style.

Sources I've checked, and if you really want to find them all I'd suggest google a lot and check multiple sites:

Sitemash
craigslist
Autotrader
freebo
cars.com
yahoocars
overstock.com (really cool graphics)
6speed
rennlist

I would have pursued it but I'm just not a fan of the color. As I understand it the car is nice just got some miles on it. FWIW his last auction for the car ended as a no sale and he lowered the buy it now to $43,999 on the last day

Steve,

Did you have to do anything to fit the 12" rim onto your car? Roll the fender? More negative camber? etc.

Good luck w/ the sale.. very fair deal w/ your upgrades!!

The rear fenders are rolled, no rubbing. Rear camber is -1.5. But then, I don't drive it hard on the street, so it's never been an issue.
