Help- need Tequipment roll bar hardware photos
I picked up a very nice used roll bar, but don't have the hardware. I have access to a lathe and can make the front "spools" that go at the bottom of the main hoop, but would love to see a photo of one first. Even a photo installed in the car would be great.
I understand there is a spacer installed in the rear between the bar and the mounting point. Does anyone know the dimensions?
Thanks,
Joe

the front hardware is 996 580 983 00. I bought from Sunset few yrs ago and very inexpensive.
For the back, I just use i bolt, no spacer.

For me too! My bar arrives from Chicago on Tuesday next week - my car Thursday...this, and the seats I bought are my first tasks after I get the car's Canadian inspection and safety check done....this is most definetly a help.
Likely draw upon both your experiences on this thread next week when old 'stone mitts' starts bumbling around in that interior...

Thanks so much again! I ordered the other parts from the dealer. They were less than $15ea. Dealer apparently had no diagram, just looked up the PN you gave me and it was simply listed as "bushing". No wonder they couldn't find it earlier.
Are the spacers the brass parts shown on the shorter bolts here, or something else?

Bumping old thread. Great info here got me everything I needed to order the bushings for the roll bar that I picked up without any hardware.
However I went to install everything yesterday and assumed I'd be able to source bolts at the local hardware store only to find a less than stellar selection of metric bolts locally.
I'm assuming they are M12 x 1.5 but not positive. If anyone knows the lengths required for install that would help me out greatly as well.
I'd even order factory bolts and pay through the nose for them but I can't find part numbers for them either.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Just installed my roll bar last weekend. a standard 7/16 bolt with fine threads works perfectly. For the front connection use a 5" length of all thread or as I did use a 5" Grade 8 bolt cut the head off and cut about 1 1/2" of thread. Set the roll bar in place, double nut the all thread and thread it into frame. Remove the double nuts slide bushing into place, install the belt/harness anchor and bolt in place. Trying to align the bolt, bushing, roll bar and frame connection point only happens if you are born under a lucky star. I struggled with the bolts for two hours and after I switch to the threaded stud. It took about 10 minutes per side after that.

There are some threads on this. Couple of tips.
Need to collapse/ smash the plastic by the door in order to fit the roll bar.
Replace the bolts with all thread studs, and it will be a lot easier for alignment with the sleeve through the bar.
All thread studs can be found at a hardware store or the internet, just get grade 8.8 or better.
