u mean like me?
i usually offer my cars here first. but invariably my dealer almost always give me the highest bid. so off it goes. THEN, the same buyers call the dealer and buy the fk'g car at 4-6k more than i asked... go figure.

You should've been here a few months ago when I sold mine. No story, one owner car, well maintained and as local as you're gonna find.

No, not like you. You give it a proper try but your volume of transactions is very high.

I wonder if the collector selling the white 996 GT3 (205 miles) will be patient. He keeps relisting on ebay but lowered the starting bid to $79,000. I think it is worth it to another collector to buy the car, but if you are going to drive it...

I'm looking too so I appreciate all the feedback. Is there a consensus as to what the 205 mile example on Ebay is worth??? Probably like the adage where
two fools meet is appropriate but does anyone have an opinion?

the car up in far north CA?
or was it napa.
i saw it on ebay many times.
there's nothing collectable about 996gt3s. it will stablize much like RSA. nice, but that's it. it is not a 73RS, 964RS, or 993RS/RSCS.

i usually would pay a premium for a clean car, but at 79k for a 996gt3? you have to be insane. but it does appear that this seller is very patient.

The white 2005 996 GT3 in California.

I think if you have plenty of disposable income and you missed out ordering a 2004-2005 996 GT3 for your automobile collection, then that California 2005 white car (on ebay now), would be worth the money.

If you want it for normal use, like mooty said, the price has to be right. Also, I have no idea how it was maintained so that the mechanical systems AC, engine, fuel system and so forth were not damaged from lack of proper use.

another thought... find an owner on rennlist that has what you are looking for and make him an offer

worked for 007DT who now owns my (now his) old car.

He simply PM'd me to get the discussion going and made me a reasonable offer which got my attention and a week or so later we closed the deal...

Selling a car can be a hassle and you never know how many would be willing to sell if they had a viable prospect right in front of them with a real reasonable offer.

^^^ I just noticed, are those the stock seats?

The non-harness-friendly seats on that car means I'll have to change them

I think I've been confusing the Euro GT3 seats for the ones in the ad above.

Can anyone give me some advice in this respect? What's the comfort level on the Euro vs stock seats? Do people usually swap stock for Euro seats? Or is there a different aftermarket seat that's better?

I'm in Santa Monica if you need someone to look at the car.
