will 1 gallon of the delvac be enough to do a complete transmission fluid change?

Plenty. The case takes just under 4L (3.3L to be exact) and the gallon is about 3.8L

Personally I keep several gallons on hand at all times.

thanks dell... dumb question but, when i change the "transmission" fluid (aka "gear box"?), am i effectively changing the fluid in my "LSD" as well? i had the LSD replaced by the dealer last spring so did they have to drain the trans fluid as well so i should have fresh trans and LSD fluid in there due to the LSD change?

ivangene... where in WA state are you picking up delvac?

thanks again all

Not a dumb question at all. I didn't know when I first started learning about the cars as well

Correct, you are changing the fluid for all. These cars have a transaxle which houses the tranny and diff in the same assembly.

I recently used Motul Gear 300 and had good results.

I did a change with Redline late last year. Anyone have experience with their gear oil vs the others?

You guys are making me paranoid!

Not a fan of Redline. I use Synergen II in my GT2 as per the OSgiken LSD recommendation. Interesting lube as it is very sticky and climbs gears.

Seth,

I see you are bring the LTW to Homestead maybe I can get Ian to follow you around the track for a couple of laps in my non LTW M3 just to compare performance.
