Good point. My car is trailered and 100% track so I have kept the original lugs. Maybe someday I will change.

I had the same issue with the lugs bolt head sticking out when I put them on the BBS rims. Is there a solution where I can get some lugs with smaller bolt head?

CDOC has BBS specific lugs too, the bullet headed ones. Do a quick search it's been discussed before

Backmarker- thanks. As it turns out, there was no issue and I ran the car at the track this weekend w/o incident. I will probably switch to open lugs in the near future.

You can also search on here and see if people with the same wheels have to go to longer studs. BBS's for example require a much longer stud than stock.
No measureing is required. All you need to do is count the rotations of the lug bolt when you screw them in. Mark a bolt and spin it in. If the bolt turns 8-9 full revolutions you are good to go. The theory is the bolt thickness approx. 14mm = about 8 - 9 threads x 1.5 thread pitch
