Here's the progression:
1. You'll come to the conclusion that a second set of wheels with R compounds is the only way to go.
2. You'll use the PS2s in the wet and R's in the dry and life is good.
3. You'll eventually need both sets at the track ans start working on how to get the spare set there along with a jack etc.
4. You'll buy an open trailer and start to read all the tow vehicle threads
5. You'll start to modify the car and find it uncomfortable on the street
6. Then you'll want to go faster, sell it and buy a race car and an enclosed trailer a larger tow vehicle and start racing.

Mooty and Dell do I have this straight? Or have I missed a step

Sliding around under heavy braking from High Speeds can also be a sign of a worn out LSD, very common on GT3/2 if it is the OEM unit.

What are you running for alignment? Just mounted NT01s and I've not checked or changed the alignment since getting the car. Looking for a starting point. Thanks!

thank you all
yes the progression described above is already in progress. in the past month i bought gt3 seats ,gmg roll bar ,schroth 6 point harnesses and hans system . the remainder of the winter i will use for installation. sometimes i step backand ask myself what is the goal. but then i think back on those days at the track and the question just fades away

i will have the lsd looked at . are they really as frail as this forum seems to say . can 15000 miles of non track easy driving cause a lsd to wear out
again thanks

They are frail. 15,000 street miles will do them in. Do a search under LSD, Guards, OSgiken and you will find a wealth of information and options.

Good to see the 1st $$$ spent on safety.

Anybody still using R888's, or are the Nitto's better? I'm a novice, but quite happy with R888's. Lasted me many track days...

Anyone in the SF Bay Area that can recommend sources for the Nittos and Toyos? My track wheels are ready for new meats and March at Laguna looms.

If local sources don't pan out for you, I think I got a good deal on my NT01s from discounttiredirect, which is Discount Tire's ebay store. Free shipping, and (at the time) 5% off the price at discounttire.com. Doesn't look like they have they have 315s up right now though... Maybe they come and go. Good luck!

So are those of you using NT-01s running the 315 rears on the same 11" wheel that the Michelin 295s like?
