Disabling the light or using a male buckle are better options imo.

If you leave the stock belt strapped in behind the seat... you're eventually going to 'fugettaboutit' and then you'll end up with a nice funkadelic creased up stock belt with a spring retracting mechanism that no longer works.

Thanks for the comments guys. I intend to find the male clips and just go that route. That way I have no light and the belts are recoiled all the time.
