follow the KISS method and install a new battery
Mine only lasted 3 years so you more than got your moneys worth.

My guess would be a bad battery.

Dieing, anyway. That's what I'm assuming, so have replaced the battery with one recommended elsewhere, a Duralast 48DL. Direct replacement, $90.

I bet your starting problem will disappear. Keep a maintainer on it if you don't drive it every few days.
