Default GT3 Cup Shifter

I know the 996 and 997 GT3 shifters are interchangable. Has anyone put in a 997 cup shifter counsel in their 996 car?

How are the throws, feel, notchiness, etc. between the cup and regular shifter?

TIA.

I have the 997 GT3 shifter mech and 996 cup cables. Its lovely. Can't comment on the 997 Cup mech but its a sequential box on the 997 cup so not sure that would work on our H patterns.

I have the same set up, it is lovely. Brings in even more gear noise.

Like how you describe that... lovely. Yes, it is sublime... heavenly... other worldly, shift nirvana...

I guess the better question to ask is what is a better track setup, the 997 GT3 or 996 Cup shifter counsel?

Does anyone have the Cup car cable numbers? Is is a DIY to change these cables?

Default Cup Car Cables

Here is a Pic of my Cables. I installed the shifter and cables at the same time.

Hope this helps.

Yes they look different, plastic spring loaded - non adjustable ends at the shifter assy.
