Hi,
My GT3 is for sale.
28,025 miles.
Third owner.
I am the only owner who tracked it (previous owner a longtime RLer and original owner an old man in LA who didn't know where the closest track was).
Approx. 3100 track miles. I've owned it since last April and have done 31 track days. Unlike Mooty I am a lightweight and only do about 100 miles per day.
Car had 14,400 miles when I bought it. Very well maintained. I only use this car for DE track days so all non-track miles are easy highway driving to and from track. I did one road trip in this car and that was last May - I went to Vegas from Buttonwillow DE weekend and back to SF. That was a lot of fun.
OK now to the non-stock specs:
Moton Clubsports (about 40 track days on them - i bought them nearly new from Mooty last September).
#600 front springs; #900 rear springs. This set up was recommended by JVO (flying lizard) after he drove the car a couple laps when it had #800 springs on rear. The car handles wonderfully now.
TC Design roll bar installed a few months ago.
Red Schroth 6-pt harnesses (driver side is HANS compliant 2 inch belt).
GT3 seats.
2 cup front lip spoilers.
RS wing with 4 and 8 deg shims.
RS brake ducts.
Sharkwerks Fire Extinguisher.
Wear items:
Front cup rotors have 4 days on them.
Kumho V710 have 5 HCs on them.
Pads have two days on them.
The windshield has two chips on passenger side that have been there for over a year and haven't spidered at all.
The color is Basalt Black, much nicer than flat black especially on a sunny day.
You also get the OEM suspension and regular seats of course.
$57k.
For the curious: I'm selling because I'd like to start racing and have absolutely no desire to strip/gut/cage this beautiful vehicle.
For the fearful of suspension setup: I've spent a fair amount of time trying to find the right setup. With these motons the car is transformed. Last weekend the car did a 1:36.8 at Laguna Seca. And that leads to a final selling point: 996GT3 stock passes sounds with no issues at Laguna!
Enjoy the shopping experience.
Dave

Thanks Mike! There are plenty of racing options for sure. Part of me is still half-tempted to gut the beast and race SCCA ITE....

carl, oh trust me, there's nothing wrong with those tires. dave dusted my gt3 by FOUR seconds. on R888 i did 1:40
he clocked 1:36 at LS. on khumos'
if there's something wrong with his tires, pls do not tell him. because if he gets it right, he would be at 1:30 then.... that's a LOT faster then pro's in cup cars ;-)
