I am trying to decide between the Cargraphic (1) Sound with TUV and (2) Super Sound Export exhaust systems for my 996 GT3. I am keeping the factory headers and cats for now. Cargraphic quoted 94 and 98 dbs for the two systems. Has anybody installed either of the two systems with the factory headers/cats? Can you give me some feed backs regarding the sound, any droning issues, and problems with the noise doctors at your home tracks? Which system would you choose today based on your past experience?

I drive PRI 5 to 6 time a year, I really like your track. I understand they will soon impose a 95 db limit. If so, do you think I will have problems with the SSE version? The sound clip of that system on Cargraphic's site sounded pretty loud. I was doing a search on this topic, and I understand you have the Europipe system on your 7. Europipe would have been my first choice for exhaust except for the price
. How do you think it will compares with the SSE in terms of sound level?

I had the fabspeed headers, cats, and mufflers on my 996 GT3 and never got tossed from Pacific or Portland. I have not heard anything on sound at Pacific. It will be pretty hard to impose 95db since they hold drag racing many weekends. They do have quiet days Mondays and Tuesdays (I think) in which there is a db limit but that has been in place for years. My 997 has no mods yet. Roll bar going in this week. I think GMG is going to be my choice. Are you going to the Portland and middle of nowhere tracks this summer?

I have the CG SSE cans on my car, and love 'em. Two local guys for whom I gave test runs also bought them. Great sound, no droning. Sorry, I cannot comment on noise level as measured at the track as the tracks at which I ran did not have limits.

Roberga, Portland is my favorite track. I would like to go there this summer. I have to check out their track dates. Don C. still owes me a credit for a day I missed last year. My friend in the Seattle region put on a GMG cat cross-over?? on his 7 GT3, and his car sounds awesome.
Joe, I checked out your video with the fly-bys. Your SSE sounded great, better than the Ferrari's. Have you added sport cats and headers to your system since that video? Do you think adding the CG 200 cell cats will increase the db much?
Christian, where are you located? You guys are suppose to be the experts with answers to all questions, right? I should not have to be the guinea pig.

Oh, you are Christian. Sorry, I did not recognize your RL name. I went ahead with the SSE based on the other members recommendations. I will have the system on by this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed
Are you going to be at Mission next Monday?

Nice! I'm looking forward to hearing it. Likely I won't have time to attend the event, unfortunately. But I'll see if I can make time for at least one event coming up.

I have both. oddly the export version is heavier. I have the full R system and i don't pass sound anywhere.
The TUV is rather quiet for my tastes. You should pass as euro drive by sound laws are pretty strict.
db is an exponential scale remember. so 94-98 is a huge gap.

Victor, so you have the R version with sport cats and headers? I am not aware that CG makes a R version. I am guessing that will be very loud. Would you venture to guess how much louder my exhaust will be when I decide to add the CG 200 cell cats? I have decided to go with the SSE version.
