Oh and black CCW's do the trick... A lot of local track guys use them. Here's a car with them:

Profi XL in leather from Recaro -- they do not offer them in leather but a local shop was able to get them to do it (PM me and I will give the contact info if you want)

They are much tighter, more precice shifts, less issue getting into gear under load. I have the cup shifter, same throw but makes stock like stirring oatmeal. They are a PITA to install, you need to remove the center console to access them. I didn't do the rest I got stuck.

cable's like 500 and the shifter and hardware is close to that too. Worth it.

You may go the cheap route and install the 997 shifter. but the cables are worth it.

If you think you can do it, you probably can.

I am smart enough to know that I will eat an entire day trying to get it done, it will not be just right, and I will take it to the tech anyway to finish my hack job, so I just skip the whole "me attempting to do it just to save a couple bucks" as it never works out that way. Also my wife gets fussy if I spend too much time with the car... (not to mention mods she cannot see do not count -- shift cables, ring and pinion, susp, etc )

Yea i got both, you can get the cable to work with the stock and 997 shifter but i don't know how. I jut know it's been done.

The cable is 500, and it's better, the ends are ball bearing vs plastic it doesn't get slack in it like the stock etc etc. you'll notice a difference and be like wow.

That bar allows you to recline all the way back even with stock seats so it's good for tall people. You can see them installed in this 997GT2 which shows you what I mean.

The seat thing... well you really need to try a few first to be honest. There's a good few "tweeners if you know what I mean, from Recaro and Sparco that could work.
Cool Alex! Thanks! That roll bar is awesome...but expensive.

Datax was selling his RS wing 2 weeks ago. You might be lucky if you PM him.
Good point. I think I have a pole position in the garage that I can sit in and check it out. It's for the race car and I hardly use it.

Heh... good catch... Same owner with two different white GT3's so we coupled them together since they had the same stuff (minus the GTR brakes). Incidentally if anyone is interested I have a set of take-off GTR's available!
