Default Where are GT2 prices these days?

Wondering where the 996 GT2 prices are these days. Thinking about a 996 TT, GT3, or GT2 in the next year and starting to pay attention to sale prices. I see the money needed for 996 TTs and GT3s, but not as much for GT2s.

Thanks!

You should be able to get a 2003 GT2 with less than 10K miles (preferably less than 6k) for between $85,000 and $90,000. Remember, only 90 2003's ever made it to the US, and based upon numerous conversations I have had, up to 30 of those have been wrecked, So it's slim pickins'.

There are actually more 2002's around and those should go for around 80K.

I have seen a 2004 black GT2 on ebay on and off. I don't know if that one is still available, but if I remember correctly, the guy was asking less than 90K and that car is really rare. I think less than 25 2004's ever made it to the US.

Hi Gabriel,

Thank you for the info! Haven't done much research into GT2s as I have for GT3s and TTs. Guess I have to learn a bit more about them before trying to buy one. Heard their nickname was the "widow-maker" due to their twitchy handling at limits.

Your GT2 looks sweet in the avatar, except for the circumstances!

Thanks again,

Photo was staged, my brother is a cop. He let me drive his cop car and I let him drive the GT2. It was fun.

As for twitchy, that's an understatement. I know there are suspension mods available which dial out much of the factory thrills, but stock, like mine, the car is a handful. Just today I downshifted on the highway to get around a car so I could exit and the tail wagged pretty hard. You get used to it and it actually makes you a better driver. Passengers **** their pants though, it's hilarious!

There was a real nice silver GT2 at autotrader or cars.com for $80k low miles. real nice per the pics.
My bidness has slowed for the usual summer slowdown and economy. Double whammy.
I think these cars may hit $60's then that will be it. I'm going to grab one hell or high water at that point. They are a future icon yet to be "discovered".
Our secret.. OK ?

+1 There is a 2003 for sale in Portland for about $90k asking I believe. I think you could probably get into a GT2 well into the 80's at this point.

Changed his name? The guy or the business?
I bought my Black Series from them, both sides came away happy.
There are stories everywhere but my deal has been clean (so far).

If its the same guy I had dealings with;
His name was Jeremy Wiggams.
He owes me $2000.
I guess if the stories are everywhere there may be a reason.
Try your luck, you may come out OK. Who knows ?

Everyone is correct in their valuations......$80-85k for a clean car. I know of a couple sub-10k mile cars that sold private party recently (last 6 months) in that price range.

Spotted a white GT3 there. Yep, just checked. Here's link:

http://livermore.porschedealer.com/p...che/search.php

2007 with around 7K miles asking $95K.

I hear dealer not doing too well -- I feel for dealer and its people cause they're good people -- so you should be able to swing a pretty impressive deal on car.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Black car is nice.. That silver car, look at the pic of the car dead on in the front, that bumper fitment to the fenders is terrible...

Thing is, we never really find out these car's real history, it's scary buying one as they are all claimed to be "clean" yet have so much underlying history, such as 2 of Chicago Motorcars GT2's with "cosmetic" paint work which happened to be a pillar damage, etc car's/....
