Not too damn much.

The 6 was the last of the pure Porsches. Only ABS.

That is a very reasonable thing to want. I would recommend a 964 or a 993 of some sort. I am not sure they have more than just ABS and they are "pure" including the oil cooled motors.
For street use they would have more than enough power and are a blast to drive. Will cost you less to buy and will be a little softer and more comfortable.

Get something with a whale tail and you'll be the coolest dood in town. Plenty of "prestige" in older Porsches that are in good condition.

That's what I would do if I was looking for a summer DD.

Why do you think older 911's require about a barrel of oil in them? Certainly not for lubrication.

Air-cooled is a misnomer. A water-cooled engine is also "air-cooled". It's really the oil that is cooling the motor in pre-996 Porsches and it is exchanging the heat with air through the oil cooler.

Boy.... what kind of Porsches are they sending you guys up in Canada?......

Regardless........I was informed by very reputable sources that the 6's are more of a real driver car than the 7's.......

As far as an older 911, I already have one..... whale tail, no ABS, no PSM, no power steering...... just look at my avatar........ I just cannot make it a DD........

In some ways I think the 6GT3 will be easier to drive.......
