Default Price Check 05 GT3

Hi All,

First time posting on Rennlist, although I have been doing alot of reading!

Very close (like with-in hours) to owning this 2005 GT3. I think I have covered all my bases on this one.
12600 Type I's
0 type II's
As it turns out, the car is a one owner, no track time, all services to date, new Pilots.

They are asking $55,000, Located in the NE.

Thoughts/suggestions to look for? Price too high?

I take it thats a no. Asking price was $62,000, its mine for $55,000 if I take the plunge today. I can't see going wrong

Wow, and here I thought my car had only lost 30% of its value!

Sounds too good to be true, which of course makes one ask if it actually is.

Granted the high miles bring the price down a bit but if it truly was never tracked, that makes it a rarity indeed, especially in the NE.

We can assume it has no previous body damage/accident history, a clean title, receipts for service, etc.?

Good luck!

I assume you are in Canada and the car is in the US...make sure there are no stories. GL

I agree with everything here. There is no substitute for going to see the car in person, and asking to see the service history print outs. If they can't produce them you have to wonder. Anyone can say "full service history" but doing it is another thing.

You have a motivated seller there at $55k, or there's a story we haven't heard yet. (especially with PCCB).

Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the replies, all usefull information.

I have copies of the service history, all performed by Porsche. Balance of Factory Warranty for another three months on the vehicle. The fellow is motivated and those big yellow calipers make the car even more attractive.

Yes, located in Canada, Halifax to be more exact. Deposit now on the vehicle, viewing tomorrow, flying out to Beantown tonight.

Will advise once I'm home.

Again, thanks for the replies!

what a wonderful time to buy a car............... that pricing sets the bar to a new height/depth. i think the GT3 market is now linked to the stock market. Ouch.

But good for you GT3North, that car, at least from the pictures, looks pretty good! Enjoy that drive home. I bet you will have some fun on the way thru Maine.

That's an awesome deal!!! Buy it if it checks out. I would have a thorough PPI done though.

price is good if car has no stories.

i think the lowest price car was one of our rennlisters car. he bought 2 silver one's. i can't find the thread right now. but you can use that as a gauge. but damn $55k, what is out there that comes close to it. at that price. if someone takes my RS close to MSRP, i 'll pick up a seasoned 6gt3 and just drive it into the ground.

GT3North;
Please check with the dealer again on your deal as Ihave a deposit on that car.
I dont want you or me wasting time and effort when obviously they can sell to only one.
I missed another car because of screw ups in whom had priority in offers.

David

PS; I came here to Rennlist today to post my "find" only to "find" this thread

OH!!! Now it makes sense. They sold it TWICE for $55K... Okay, now I feel better...

$110K for a 6-GT3. Now that's more like it
