which pressure plate for 996 GT3?
searched quite a bit, was not able to find definitive answer and i'd like to make sure i'm ordering the right parts.
can someone help me understand what pressure plate i would need for my RS lwfw and clutch upgrade?
based on my searches, it seems like the 996 GT3 comes stock with the following pressure plate part number: 996-116-027-51
however, per my searches, folks who did the RS lwfw mod put in a "sachs cup car" pressure plate which was more robust and clamped better for track duty. can someone confirm that part number and also confirm it works correctly with the 996 GT3 and it would be the wise, logical choice to go with the RS lwfw mod?
thank you!

The Clutch for Cup is: 996.116.013.91
The Pressure Plate is: 996.116.027.75
The nine screws are: 900.067.103.02
I think they should be compatible with the RS stuff. But someone who've mixed the parts should chip in.

you can use the old but it is not the best way to go. The cost of getting it all out way not go with the upgrade PP. Check with Chris German, Cantrell, or Fordahl.

thanks for all the info so far guys... appreciate it.
i'll give fordahl a ring tomorrow AM and see what he has to say... based on what i've researched so far, it sounds like people are replacing their pressure plates with the following:
964.116.028.53 PRESSURE PLATE - SACHS RACE ENGINEERING LIGHTWEIGHT / CUP CLUTCH - PORSCHE '90-'98 964, 965, 993 - SACHS 3082 213 031 - 9.63 LBS
and 996FLT6 cautioned here in this thread to get the pp that reads "sachs race engineering" so this might be it. i'll confirm with Fordahl and let you all know.
thanks.

ex10psi- please don't make me remove engine/tranny to verify part number : ). So rt now u have the parts but havent installed rt? If so- do the pressure plate- better clamping force and slightess of stiffness of clutch pedal- it's livable like beyond livable. Your lsd is fine? how many miles now on your car? Stock lsd don't last long if u track hard. Scary loose rear end when late braking and lazy as hell power out/rotate from slow turns. With operational lsd- shot like a bullet going thru tite corner thru double esse onto straight/ a fried one shot like a turtle wont rotate gotta wait til it grips then full wot on a straightline. At Thill yeah I shot full wot at t5 cyclone with busted lsd skipped t5 completely and bypassed to t6( funny it's the fastest line thru the grassy knoll). Check LSD guys. I'm extremely happy with Guard Transmission LSD's. Mike
