KJ, the PFC97 is a fine pad for pulling street duty in a limited fashion. As with any pad, there is a tracde off. Move up the friction level chart and increase wear on the rotor for street driving.

LoL Dell is sounding like he's mad at people ditching PFCs for Alcons. Anyway, I haven't run on the GT3. That's why I wanna try it. Only experienced with their BMW kits and they are very good. Almost same design as the Brembo GTRs but less expensive. Don't know why but I always wanted Alcon brakes. Besides, my discs on my PFCs are almost gone so thought of whether it would be a good idea to try out something different.

Just as a follow up post to this. I have Alcon front rotors on my 2004 GT3. I calculated that I got 40 track days before they need replacing. During its life used Pagid RS-19 either or RS-29 pads. Cost for replacing rotors and various bolts (bobbins) is approximately $1300.00 (bells are not replaced but reused).

Holy crap! 40 days? Let's assume 3-4 sessions a day. You're saying you got 120-160 sessions out of a set of rotors? Did you ever use the brake pedal??????

I wonder why don't other manufacturers do more 360mm kit like Alcon as these calipers are radially mounted, a 5mm spacer is all you need to push the caliper out to handle the larger rotor..

I would agree with serickson, my first set of Alcons on my V8 S4 lasted 4 years of every day use and countless DE's. I love them, and as soon as I burn through the two sets of PFC's I have now, I'm going to put them on my GT3 as well.

KJ - On the GT3 I'm running 01 up front and 97 in the rear, I do not expect the rotors to last long. See you next weekend?

Any reason why you chose to run MORE brake up front?
