Hooked up to battery means keeping front hood open or crimping wire when closed- I'm more comfortable with thru window. I'll probably just purchase new charger to be sure. Remember the Mice !
Charger or no charger, I know little creatures like the warmth of the garage and gets bored, so I suggest these for the critters:
I run my trickle charger lead from the battery directly out of the front hood. My trick is to close the front hood lock with a screwdriver. Just use a flat headed driver, push down in the centre of the lock until it clicks to the shut position. So now the car see the front hood as closed, turns off the service light and arms the alarm. Happy charging!
