Dan, on another (non related) topic - your harnesses - what have you done to disable the seatbelt warning gong when on track/using harnesses rather than belts?...was something flashed via OBDII to the management, or do you use a dummy plug (or passenger seatbelt) in the drivers recepticle? I've just bought Poons Schroths off him and installed today - great apart from the nannying noise!
The OPC flashed something in with their diagnostic computer. A generic OBDII reader isn't going to pull it off.

I just buckle in the seatbelt, and sit on it.

The dyno charts are on the CG website, and I can provide an "after" one but my baseline plot has been lost on my deceased computer. I'm putting somewhere like +35 to the wheels. With a 15% drivetrain loss I'm putting out 425.

Mind you the "R" system is a one piece header back system very similar to the Cup factory exhaust, with 100 cel cats,a Bmc filter and software. You will not see any gains with just the mufflers other then weight savings. The restriction is in the primaries and cats.

CG claims 7 hp gain with the cans only, as I recall, which is in line with gains I saw on a dyno with cans only on my near 400 hp RX-7. 7 hp is noise, IMO, but the sound and weight savings are real. Cans-only isn't something I'd do for a hp gain.

Try the Europipe system.... header back, 200 cell cats, superb quality.
The sound is great, and no resonance inside the car.
Just another option!

Yeah, Europipe used to make the Manthey systems up until about a year ago, so I'm told. Very very nice, but iirc, only a complete system, not just the backboxes, and therefore serious money...I've also heard that Akroprovic (of motorbike fame) now do Manthey stuff, as well as being the OE manufacturer for the 997 GT2 titanium system.

Most late model German cars use the same buckle. I went to a local junkyard and cut 2 buckles out of a VW Passat. They fit perfectly. Just put them in at the start of your track day and no worries.

Anybody heard anything about the Ruf mufflers? I bought a second hand set but have not installed them yet. Appear to be good quality build and light, but no idea what they sound like.

Cheers~
