The Nittos rub because of the size 245/40/18 as my good buddy Jerry Wolf just noted to me today. I had 245/25/18 "hoosier" and they were fine. Probably also the curvature of the sidewall. He like the longevity of the Nittos as well, and beleives he has found his tires. I will try them, but always love the Hoosiers outs on the track.

The RD of the Nitto is just a tick over 25.5" and the stock RD is 25" so that .5" is what you need tyo get burned off in the first HC's!

BTW, Hoosier does NOT make a 245/25. Did you mean 245/35? That is the PERFECT size for these cars as it is about 24.5" in RD!!!!

Let me know when you run the Nitto's. I'm going to run the Hoosiers and Nitto's this year. I should be able to give some fairly concrete data as soon as I get consistent with the new car. I'll be starting out the season on Hoosiers.

Porsche917K, we need detailed results. You will be running these on your 1969 VW Bug, right>
The one with the 5.5" WIDE WHEELS?
Just kidding, 2009 will be an awesome season and we all look forward to "more speed".

At the very end, I don't know if anyone else noticed. There's a white STi that goes off as well in the last frame.

Datax,

Sorry for the delay in responding...have been pretty busy. I really missed getting to VIR this Fall. I had planned to. A local group needed some Instructors at Mid Ohio the same weekend, and I'm going to Daytona in December, so decided for only 1 long trip for the Fall. I hope to get out there next Spring, though. I had a great time last year, and still have lots to learn. Your beautiful white GT3 was an inspiration!
