UPDATE
Do not use the factory TPS. The traqmate may cause the car to go into "limp" mode.
My traqmate + traqdata install on my 2004 911 GT3.
1st off, a big thanks to Dell and Toby for their help and making this install possible.
I have three additional sensors hooked up via the traqdata module. They are RPM, brake pedal and TPS (throttle position sensor).
To get RPM I connected to the DME pin # E6.
To get the brake pedal I connected to the 3rd brake light. The positive lead is black/brown.
To get TPS I connected to the DME pin # D13.
Traqmate setup:
RPM, cyclinders 1

Brake, D4 (I was originally treating this as an analog signal)
Gas, A1 - Low 0.323v, High 1.633v, Alarm 2 volts (don't really care).
Important:
For whatever reason you will need to enter 0.339 for Low and 1.649 for High to get 0.323 Low and 1.633 High as the saved values. After entering the values verify the correct values were saved to the DU by clicking on "Save IO Setup", then close Traqview, reconnect and look at IO Data.

I piggy backed off my V1 hard install for power.

To make the unit fit, I had to cut out a void for the unit to slide back into to. The front of the console also had to be cut to fit the wires off the traqdata module and antenna and power cable.

Notice the corner (bottom right), I cut an access slot to be able to screw the console down.

The GPS antenna is routed along the bottom of the windshield and down the right pillar.

I made a quick disconnect to the DME.

Rob,
When you tapped the DME, did you splice a wire leading to those pins, or were they open? How did you make the connection? I got my RPM from the OBDII port, but would like TPS too.

Chuck, I had to splice into those leads. I used "tap splices" to make it easier. The slicker variation would have been to pop the pins out and attach another lead with some solder.

Nice install. I noticed your link from the Racing forum.
How much is the trackmate and does it have the link to video and overlay the data? I've been looking at the new V-box version but it's pretty expensive. About $4k US loaded with 2 lipstick cameras.

Going with the Chasecam setup (not affiliated with Traqmate but works well together) directly to the Traqmate allows the video to AUTOMATICALLY start recording when the Traqmate start collecting data. Then for an even further level of data richness, you can get an add-on program (both through Traqmate and Trackvision) that allows you to overlay data on your video.
IIRC, the Traqmate prduct (while similar to Trackvision) works with only the Traqmate while Trackvision works with virtually ALL data loggers.
I have the AIM MXL system and Chasecam and couldn't be more happy. I am going to add the Trackvision software as soon as I figure out how to work the AIM software

I just built an ODB-II cable to obtain RPM inputs, and I could not get any signal. Later on, I found out that the 997 needs to read RPM from the DME.
Rob, thanks for the pictures. It gave me some ideas. I want to leave the traqmate in the car permanently, and just hook the display unit when I want to use it.
How do you know that the TPS is working?

When I tap the DME cables for RPM and TPS, and the cable for the 3rd brake light, I assume I don't need to get a ground, because the control unit already has the ground from the power connector (black/red cable) if connected directly to the car (ie: power outlet wires). Am I right?
