Are those wet Hoos, better than R888s? R888s are pretty good in wet compare to MPSCs (and dare I say even PS2s). So far I've tried (2 sets) PS2s, (1 set) MPSCs and on my second sets R888s and Toyos are the best. I use them on street, track, dry and wet.

Absolutely they are better. The ones Rad posted a pic are of RACE WETS. Those suckers will hold the pavement like a dry tire in sunny conditions! These are Grand-Am tires

Wow Ken, did you hit that tire wall?
I have seen these Hoosiers in Actions. The grip in wet conditions is phenomenal, lifting the inside front wheel is common.
There are other choices of even better wet tires from Michelin and Good Year. The 24/64 and 27/65 in P2C compound Pilot SX are a nice option.

I just happen to have a NEW set that I never mounted on the GT3. That's right, ZERO heat cycles and still have the stickers on 'em.

Never tried the Hoosiers but the Dunlop Racing Rain Slicks are the cat's ***.
I was out a month ago and i had to slow down because of lack of visibility (it was raining like hell) not lack of grip.
Grip is better in the wet than R-compounds in the dry. No lie.

Close call!!
Would either of the wets mentioned be OK for the occasional street use? I currently use PS2s for street and wet but would sure like better grip in the wet. Don't really want to buy that third set of wheels...

The race wets would probably be horrible in the dry and wear very fast. I would ONLY use them in wet conditions. For driving around town and the occasional wet track I would stick with PS2's.
