2 ways to get rid of the noise...wash the car if you have iron rotors (rust will take the glaze off that causes the squeal)
I was told it's not a good idea to wash the wheels due to corrosion etc....I still do anyways and then apply brake pressure right after the wash. Is there any damage caused by washing the wheels/brakes this way?

I don't think the wheels will corrode, maybe you're referring to the brake rotors.
No damage, unless you park it for many months. I think Porsche says it's ok to drive in the rain.

I use a pressure washer to get the crud out of the holes in the rotors. Then I go for a drive to get the water off.

Yes, I was referring to the rotors. Unfortunately, up here we only get 6 months of GT3 weather then she's covered for up to 6 months. Any suggestions for 'preparing' those brakes for storage in that case then?
