Default Hello

Welcome, Manny. Was that picture taken next to Riley Park? Kulu must be clearing stock.

Thanks. If that's the north side of Bowness park, then yes....a great spot for car photos.

I was told it's not a good idea to wash the wheels due to corrosion etc....I still do anyways and then apply brake pressure right after the wash. Is there any damage caused by washing the wheels/brakes this way?

I don't think the wheels will corrode, maybe you're referring to the brake rotors.

No damage, unless you park it for many months. I think Porsche says it's ok to drive in the rain.

I use a pressure washer to get the crud out of the holes in the rotors. Then I go for a drive to get the water off.

Yes, I was referring to the rotors. Unfortunately, up here we only get 6 months of GT3 weather then she's covered for up to 6 months. Any suggestions for 'preparing' those brakes for storage in that case then?

That's exactly what I do too. Never had any problems with my previous cars this way but wasn't sure about the GT3 brake care.

Put 'em away dry. Emergency brake off.

Brakes are very robust but most guys have switched to either Cup brakes, slotted or something else if the car is tracked heavily.

On the street the stock brakes are fine but they can't be used to their potential, otherwise you'd get rearended pretty quickly.
