Has anyone experienced problems with using the 5 mm longer bolts in the rear calipers? Do the heads stick out since the bolts are longer? They probably fit just fine since Porsche changed the part number.
fits fine. i was spooked when i saw the longer bolt, but it fits in just like the short bolt.

Those ceramic caps (plastic would melt, you know that) are available as pairs. They are isolators to avoid excessive heat transfer to the calipers.

Here are the part# (for cars with red calipers)

Front:

928 351 917 00 (44mm caps) (2)
951 351 917 00 (36mm caps) (2)

There 6 caps per calipers at the front

Rear:

You know you did not break the rear ones, so I won't give you part numbers.
How are they attached? One of mine is no longer attached I I just slide it in between the piston and the pad. I've done that a few times now....

Their boots don't burn up?

I never understood why Motorsports didn't include the dust boots in the rebuild kits. I always thought that pretty lame, they're usually the first thing to go.

Austin, I think that is why... the isolators are a every few year fix and the dust boots are every year dor DE. Racing, isolators are annual and boots are... often.
