Yeah I think you are right. I'm ordering the TRG ones as my Intrax dampers don't have the mount in quite the right place and I think they'll let me compensate.

On the RS the speaker grills are dummies and the wires are behind ready to connect - so I just got the speakers from the Porsche dealer - they come complete with grills! Just take off the old ones - connect the cables (they already have teminations) screw fit the new ones and then set the front rear balance on the radioCD.

A 10 minute job!

schmidtwerk, is the real RS suppose to be that low? I never knew that the suspension on the RS is completely different to the regular GT3

My RS is no lower than a regular GT3. But it's my daily driver - I only do occasional track days.

No the RS does not sit that low, only slight lower than the standard GT3. The 996 GT3RS had all of the newest updated uprights and all associated parts that were used on the RSR, these parts had to be used in a road going version to meet homolagation rules. The 996 GT3RS is a very special car, its a much larger difference between the 996 GT3RS to the 996 GT3 when comparing the 997 GT3RS to the standard 997 GT3.

Here are some photos of the differences in the front upright, the rear has similar changes. The GT3RS (larger one) front wheel assembly later with minor modifications became what is found in the newest 997 GT3 standard car and RS.

Thanks for posting those pictures. What's the cost of just the uprights all four?

Thanks for time.

You need all four uprights and the rear side members that fit 8mm closer to the body of the car, each piece is close to $1000 each. You also will need all of the lose parts such as air ducts, control arms, bearings, bearing retainers, fastners, ext..... I think by the time you have all the parts including the revised RS shocks and springs its about $9,000 in parts.

Not sure the RS shocks + springs would be on my list doing this though. Nice set of motons or something would be good!

I wonder if the 7 parts fit and if they are cheaper.

I just installed the 997 Motorsport Monoball control arms on my car at all four corners. These arms are a bunch beefier than the original 996 parts. I also did the Motorsports monoball doglinks. So wouldn't need any of the arms just the uprights and assorted odds and ends.

Agreed, the monoballs are better. The springs are linear only in the front for the RS, the shocks have only slightly stiffer valving than stock.
