Rick, just curious, who is the manufacturer? Also, how's the overall noise level (chatter, etc.) versus OEM or Cup drilled rotors for street driving when not on the track. Little confused on the weight versus the standard cup drilled rotors...lighter or??

Hey Rick,
We all need very good rotors! We all want a very good price point and we all prefer to keep it in the family.
What country are your rotors manufactured in and if possible, by who?
Thanks.

Rick,

But do they 'plug right in?'

Do I need special hats or anything?

TIA,

Fred

Very interesting. Twice the life, similar price and even better performance then the OEM/Motorsport rotors. Looks like you have a hit. I am listening!! Has anyone else tired these?

Rick,

How about the rears? Do you guys have a set made for the rear rotors?

Thanks

factory rears are really cheap and last over 2000+ track miles, i doubt anyone will make them aftermarket.

Sure, but you still have to clean out those vent holes, and they still crack, and... a slotted set would be nice.

Are you really sure?

GT3 MK.I rotors have the following part #

996 351 409 91 (left)
996 351 410 91 (right)

996 Turbo rotors have the part #

996 351 409 02 (left)
996 351 410 02 (right)

and they share the same caliper part #

996 351 429 10 (left)
996 351 430 10 (right)

Do you know where the difference is other than the last 2 digits in the part #?

Ciao,

J.

Clean out the holes...yeah, but I've been through a couple of front rotor sets and my rears have not cracked yet. I guess they will eventually but they wear slowly as Mooty said above, so I can live with that. Fronts are really the ones that I'd interested in an alternative such as Rick's.

Ciao,

J, I think Rick meant they're different from 996 GT3 Mk2. It's possible Mk1 and 996TT have the same front rotor though. Here in the states we just don't have very many Mk1's, there are 2 that I know of only, so hard to test fit. I'm sure with all the TT'ers out there you could obtain measurements and compare though. Maybe Rick would make some up after the market is shown to him?
