Mine came loose after a scrape or two and lost a few screws but was fine until I went on the track. At high speed it came off went under the car and got flicked up onto the front end of the following car. Scratched his car a lot as it passed over the top of his car. Moral is to check it before you go on the track at really high speed.

Actually PJS is right, Porsche dealers cannot order motorsport items.

What is the difference between the "RS splitter" (which apparently fits a 6GT3) and the Cup splitter??

Thanks,

FR

Hey Joe,

Along with the P/N for the RS splitter, a brief comparison of differences would be appreciated.

Cheers,

FR

please do! I was arguing with the dealer that there are in fact 3 Porsche splitters

Standard
RS
Cup

they held pretty firm that standard and RS are the same... so please post up the part numbers when you get them... I want to forward them to my local dealer parts dept.

I have one of each in my garage: who is telling you that? Rocky?
They are correct in that they do not have access to motor-sport part. they do not even have a PET for the parts.

so because I am an idiot... I just want to make sure that I am understanding correctly

there are two splitters
stock one
and
cup/rs

meaning there is no difference between RS and Cup?

i checked the link and saw two part numbers and the one number referenced cup/rs...

Is that right?

Andrew (service advisor) from the parts dept... there is no RS option is what I was told...

So I bought a couple cup ones from GMG...

Nobody uses the double back tape in conjunction with the plastic rivits. The tape keeps the entire splitter stable on the car. These rivits just provide a mounting location and some primary support to the tape. You really need to use both. Ripped mine off and replaced with all the fasteners and have had no further problems still very secure.
