On another note, The Chevy ZR1 is getting Brembo ceramics...

Dupa,
To my understanding Brembo makes the Porsche units but they are becoming popular enough that the price may come within reach for the masses in the future.
And yes we have discussed how the new Vette ZR1 is implementing the Ferrari FXX ceramic rotors. Kinda neat.

Those look nice. I'm working at the company who invented the carbon/carbon braking technology in the 80's for aerospace and then went on to be the sole friction material supplier to F1. I beleive we had a hand in developing the carbon/composite materials as well, we may be the OEM manufacturer for Porsche on PCCB. Once I get to the bottom of it I'm hoping to procure some kits for my car.

The SGL Group originally helped Porsche develop the PCCB rotors, and I beleive they still are the supplier:

Thera are also the movit ceramics:
http://www.movit.de/rahmen/ceramic.htm
I contacted them for PCCB gen1 replacements half price of OEM PCCB2 so they are not that inexpensive.
I ended up buying a complete set of PCCB gen 2's from a RS owner who changed to steel rotors for less than half the retailprice so im set for a while
