I am sure that dell, mooty, NJGT, etc will have already been through the process and advise accordingly...

I think you can go wider in the rear on stock rims... is it 315? and out a little on the front as well... not entirely sure though.

I have another set of (street PS2s) fronts OEM sizing in my garage that I will have to get through...

I also have track tires that are stock sizes -- which after my 6-7 days on the track since getting the car, are plenty for me... I am sort of new to this whole thing and did not even think about going up in size when I ordered the track tires...

I run 245 F 315R Hoosiers. I did have 305 but Hoosier discontinued the size. the 315 works well. The wheel recommendation from Hoosier is 11" - 12" for the 315

PJS: Are you going to be at Pacific this weekend? Also-Portland is having their first weekend on the 23rd and 24th. 24th is the PCA lapping day.

PJ, looks good!

Where's Chet M at? I'm waiting for him to come back after checking his garage to make sure his car is still there.

On both my stock wheels as well as my BBS Motorsports wheels I run 245F 315R. Moving to a 305R starting this season when I move from the R6 to the Pirelli slick.

What kind of tires do you run in 245/315? R888's? Any rubbing issues? I'll be trying the 245/305 RA1 combo on stock wheels... I was concerned about rubbing with the 115mm front ride height.

IN the 245(40)/315(30) combo I have run the following:
Hoosier R6
Nitto NT01

No rubbing in rear, slight rubbing at full lock up front. In the RA1 why are you running the 305(35)? That is NOT the proper size for the rear. The diameter is a full inch and a half (1.5") too big!

Ya, I know... I was definitely hesitant at first BUT Fabryce over at GMG Racing assured me that the 245/40 and 305/35 combo would be NO problem at all on my street 996 GT3. Apparently this is what they run on their race 996 GT3 cup cars.

But now I'm worried.

Gearing Gearing Gearing! If you like LONG and TALL gears then just keep pumping up that diameter. Why do you think the Koni challenge cars run 17" instead of 18"? Can't change the gearing in the box but the smaller diameter allows you to manipulate it into a shorter gear.
