It was kind of an impulse buy, but he has really gotten excited about tracking. He bought a 944 spec to learn on, and has gotten tired of the power deficit in the DE setting that he wants to be in. He is getting a PPI on it, and as long as everything checks out, it will be his. Any suggestions, and any recomendations on where to have the PPI done (Don McGill is the Houston Pcar dealer, right?)
I'm really excited for him, and can't wait to try it on track.
Thanks!

Ever herd of a GT3 sitting on a showroom floor for so long, well this one have been in their hands for a really really long period and there's a reason. Hope your friend finds out before he hands over the dough.
Good luck

Thanks for the heads up. He isn't so interested in getting a concours type car, and he wants to use it as a track/street car, but at the same time he wants to be able to sell it down the road, and not be tied up with a problem child. I've alerted him to this thread, so can have a little more information before he makes a decision.
What is the market on a good gt3 with rollbar and seats?

FYI, I've bought two cars from these guys (Expo Motorcars), and have been very satisfied. I'm in CA, they're in Houston. Delivered to me as advertised.

He had the car ppi'd today, and it had more issues than he wanted to deal with, so he passed on it. He's still interested in a gt3, so if anyone has any leads on a good car, let me know. He lives in the Tampa area.
Thanks!

You know what they always say: You get what u pay for. There's a reason why that GT3 is so "cheap".
Good luck to ur friend in his search...

I am the guy who posted my opinions on this car...I actually drove it, and got details on the heavy track time from two previous owners. The car was out of alignment..had food in the seats, paint was chipped...It was raining, so couldn't get on it, but I could tell it wasn't worth it...maybe low 50k to fix it right....I didn't even want to spend the money on a PPI.
